HRP SUMMER LEAGUE ANNOUNCED
Starting in April for the younger teams and June for the older - we will once again be using both Worth's Peak Park and Thornwood HS for games. The format will be 9 games scheduled for each team - cost is $475. There will be no rescheduling of games due to weather - we will consider 7 games played a full schedule - if you get 8 or 9 - that is a bonus. If weather wipes out your games to less than 7 - then $50 per game less than 7 will be refunded. Teams will be responsible for checking the websites set up for weather issues.
Teams must register by March 21st by emailing Hawkeye@HomerHawks.com with your confirmation. Checks for league fee can then be mailed within 1 week. The schedule will be sent to all teams on March 28th - and games will begin Tuesday April 22nd - which gives you plenty of time to arrange your schedules. I will do NO changing of schedules once written - NO make-up games. You are responsible for finding a team to fill your slot if you cannot make a scheduled game. You are also responsible for advising the other team of your need to send a replace team.
Worth will be Tuesday and Thursday nights - with games at 5:30pm and 7 pm in April and May and 5:15 - 6:45 and 8:30 pm in June and early July - mostly 10- 14 - some 16 and 18's later in season
Thornwood will start June 10th Tuesday and Wednesdays - with games at 5:15 and 6:45 pm - double-headers - typically the 16's and 18's play here
Teams supply their own new balls - we supply the fields and umpires. Games are 1 hour 25 minutes drop dead.
Please email me your intentions and I will forward a registration form for you to remit ... dates requests are on first come first served and to the best of my ability only prior to the close of the registration period on March 21st. Thank you to all who have enjoyed our program in the past - I think the new policy of booking the extra games in case of weather will make it easier on everyone for planning your summer schedules up front. Be very clear on your registration forms what age group you are ... we will accept teams until we are full at an age or the March 21st deadline arrives - what ever comes first.
