Happy New Year! It’s time to find a date on your 2008 calendar to host an Aquafina Major League Baseball (MLB) Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) Local Competition!
MLB would like to officially invite you to register for FREE today at www.mlb.com/phr to receive a Local Administrator Kit. The first wave of kits will be sent out soon and will include materials such as promotional posters, registration forms, award ribbons, a “Strike Zone” banner for pitching and other information so you can start planning this fun 1-day event for the youngsters in your community.
Open to boys & girls ages 7 to 14
Can be hosted on a baseball diamond or any open field
It's a FREE and easy event for any organization or individual in the community to execute
Only takes a handful of volunteers to organize the Local Competition
4 levels of competition – Local, Sectional, Team Championship & National Finals
Local: Hosted one day in March, April or early May
Sectional: All Local winners advance to a Sectional in their area
Team Championship: The top scorers are eligible to compete in a Major League Stadium & be recognized in a pre-game ceremony
National Finals: Top scores nationwide earn an all-expense paid trip to the MLB All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium to compete in the National Finals competition
