EXPOSURE CAMP
www.SharkSoftball.net
Our annual Open House will be held Sunday, January 4, 2009, in the Lockport
Township High School Field House, 1333 E. 7th Street, Lockport , IL 60441 .
Check in time will be no later than 10:00 a.m. with the exposure portion
running from 11:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year, we will again include both
high school pitchers and high school catchers in the camp. Over 200 college
coaches will be invited to attend. We expect 30-50 to be present.
We limit the amount of people at this event. Up to fifty-four pitchers and up
to fifty-four catchers will be registered. Each will be assigned a number on a
shirt, provided by us, and will be working out in groups of nine for 3
rotations each of seven-minute intervals. The college coaches in attendance
will be provided a roster of the pitchers and catchers. This roster will
include academic and personal data about each player. Players will be radar
timed at the site. The catchers’ overhand throwing speed and glove speed on
throws to second base will be recorded as well as the pitchers’ underhand
throwing speeds and forwarded to the college coaches within one week after the
camp.
The cost is $150.00 per player. Proceeds are used for the Derald Whiteford
Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Stone City Building Fund. Each participant
is given a souvenir T-shirt as a memento of the day. Lunch will be served and
cold drinks will be available during the camp.
If you are an underclass (Freshman through Junior – 2010, 2011, and 2012)
pitcher or catcher with a minimum 2.5 (of 4.0) GPA, and you would like to share
in this experience, please complete an application and mail it along with a
check to:
