Congrats to both 16 teams for very solid showing in St Louis!
The Purple went 2-2-1 with solid wins over Michigan Outlaws and Lemont Rockers RB. The tie against the Oak Park Windmills was capped off with a 9 run inning after 2 outs to erase a 7-0 deficit and enabled our girls to hold on to a 9-9 tie. The purple droped 2 tough ones to the Missouri Columbia Rockers and the Milan Aces - 2 solid clubs! Once again, the club says never die and always comes back strong - no quit in this group!
The Black went 3-2 - gaining the advantage over 3 top programs in defeating the Indy Diamond Chix, the Midland Magic and the final game in a thrilling 4-3 win over the the Orland Sparks. The Missouri Heat and Michigan Athletics caught us not at our best and they held on in both games.
The 16 group this year has shown the resolve, the talent and the hard work to make everyone pay attention come summer! Great job girls, coaches and parents on a very successful fall season!

Never seen or heard of the Milan Aces, are they a 16u or 18u team ? I know the dominant team out of the Quad Cities is the Firebirds.

The Diamond Chix are middle of the road, with absolutely no pitching. I wouldn't gage my future on beating them. They are a .500 team at best in the big tournaments.

i also heard that the Milan Aces team was a OK team, not necessarily a solid club. what is the coaches input on this. didnt the 16u purple team smoke them in Elgin ?
