[Walker vs Betcher Game Tonight]

We have just uncovered a rumor that Walker is bringing an entire new team to Bo Jackson's tonight for the game against Dave Betcher at 6:00PM. Has Walker's 14u team completely disbanded? Supposedly, this new team has unbelievable talent. They have been assembled from all over Chicagoland. Too bad, they haven't had time to play together. Tonight should be interesting.

Rumor has it that Walker is bringing a group formerly known as the Hurricanes to beat up on Hawkeye. Common sense would tell you this could get VERY interesting.

OMG!! Watch out Dave....this is the same team that buried Chi-Town (Cavin) last year as a 12U team. They must have resolved their eligibility issues if they're back. Last I heard, they were playing men's teams at Thillen's Stadium last fall.!!

The rematch will never happen. I was covering the story leading up to the game that was supposed to occur last Tuesday night. I had tapped the phones at Bo Jackson's ahead of time so that I could uncover some good gossip. Here is a transcript of a phone conversation that I heard:

BJ: Hello, this is Bo Jacksons.
DB: Hello, this is Dave B....(Pause), I mean Joe Smith.
BJ: Hello, Joe Smith, how can I help you.
DB: Listen, I know we are supposed to play tonight, but we are going to have to cancel.
BJ: Why?
DB: We are all sick. No, I already used that one. I don't have enough girls. No, everyone is coming. I know, the weather is too bad, there is going to be an earthquake, who cares. Just do anything to cause this game to be played.
BJ: Okay, have a great day.

I don't want to read into this, but I think each person can interpret it how they want. My feeling is that someone doesn't want this game to be played. Its too bad, Walker's team seemed ready to go.
