After finishing ahead of many quality teams in WOOD RIVER last week - this past weekend our Purple took on Elgin and earned a tough top 7 finish with some key victories!!! Knocking off the Schaumburg SLuggers in their 2nd elim game sent them well into the winners bracket, where a tough loss to Midland Magic pushed the Hawks into a battle with perennial power Cincy Doom ... the Hawks were ready and earned a 5-3 win to set up a match-up with the tourneys eventual runner up -Chitown Silver - who's bats were more than we could handle this time around. Hawks Purple roll into Kalamazoo next in search of their national bid --- watch out, they're flying high and proud amongst the best!
