Wow! What a weekend for softball and to strike out cancer! The feedback from the college coaches, parents, and just softball fans was awesome!! There were so many Hawk parents doing their part also, everyone pitched in from the 8u level through the 18 level, what a sight having everyone in pink shirts to show their support. I would like to send a special thank you to the D'Oronzo and Carney families, without people like them we could never pull off an event like this! I believe the Hawk organization raised $6,300.00 to strike out cancer in a check presented to the America Cancer Society during the All-star game Sat. evening. I would also like to thank Dave and Lisa for all of their time and effort for this event, there are long thank-less hours which are put into these events behind the scenes that no one really sees. This list could go on and on for all of the people who really dedicated their time to pull this off, so on behalf of Hawk Softball Thank You to all that helped, just know that without everyone this could not have worked, and be Proud we did our part to try and strike out cancer!
