I am proud to say that we were accepted as a coach for the adidas Futures program next July in Utah! Due to my committments, I am not able to attend the event, but have gotten Craig Walker accepted as a coach as well to take the team to Utah. We will be following the adidas program rules for team selection with an open tryout in the coming months. Looking forward to a great opportunity for uncommitted student athletes in the Midwest!

We will have additional info shortly, but as of now Jim, Craig and I plan to have a joint tryout between the Hawks and Lightning for the 2 squads representing our programs. The expected weekend is January 8th. More details to follow!

The Adidas Futures Open Tryout will be held on January 9th at Diamond Sports Academy. Registration is from 2:30-3:30 Tryouts will be 3:30 - 6:00 (following the DSA College Exposure Camp) The event will provide an unbelievable recruitment opportunity for mid-west players to compete against the nations' best, in front of the top universities. The tournament will showcase 50 teams from across the United States comprised of country's best uncommitted athletes. Two teams from the Midwest (Illinois area) will be formed with Jim Abbott of the New Lenox Lightning coaching one team and Craig Walker of the Homer Hawks coaching the other. The tryout for both teams will be conducted on this date. Giving of your time for not only our program but for other players in the midwest as well is a great jesture and service to the area.
