The University of St. Francis is having its annual coaches’ clinic on February 13, 2011 from 8am to 5pm in the Recreation Center, 500 Wilcox, Joliet, IL. Featured this year are Anna Welsh, Head Softball Coach, Bethel University (2 recent NAIA World Series appearances); Gordie Gillespie, Head Baseball Coach; Univ. St. Francis; Autumn Wendler, former Asst. Coach, Univ. St. Francis; Beth Boezeman, Univ. St. Francis pitching coach; Kathy Young, Fastpitch Director Bulls-White Sox Academy; Joyce Wellhoffer former head coach Wisconsin-Parkside; Ernie Smith, former Assistant Coach, Univ. St. Francis; and Dick Smith, Head Softball Coach, Univ. St. Francis, along with the Lady Saints Softball Team.
The clinic will feature most aspects of the game of softball, including beginning and advanced pitching, fielding, sliding, NCAA and NAIA recruiting, hitting and more, with demonstrations by college softball players.
Cost for the clinic is $25.00 ($20 for groups of four or more coaches) and includes lunch.
