ITS OFF TO PEKIN FOR 14/16 BETCHER

Well we are on the road and heading to Pekin for the 1st overnighter this year. As we head to Pekin, Ole Warpaint has just got his new laptop (Dang is it sweet) and is browsing the INTERNET while Mrs. Warpaint travels the back-roads between home and Pekin.

So updates galore and a little payback for some (and you know who you are).

We are bringing a tough group that is expected to Kick-butt and take names... that's both the players and the parents. PEKIN WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.

Day 1:

The girls had their hands full today with the some of the other teams, taking a fall the first game to a team made up from travel ball players from all over the southern part of the State, the Southwestern Sluggers. Depsite coming out looking fresh the ladies could not pull out a win in the end. But Game 2 should give the them a chance to notch a win when they take on the Milan Magic.

Game 2 the bats woke up but the Magic drove in a few more runs fthan the young Hawk ladies. They were able to put some runs together late in the game but it was not enough to fend of their opponents. Tomorrow will be a new day for the Lady Hawks and we will keep everyone posted.

The lady Hawks are off to a great start today in Pekin, defeating the Midland Magic (Black) by a score of 2-1. Th Hawk ladies played great Defense and had the bats ready when needed. Now the girls ready themselves for the second game of he day by playing the second Midland Magic (Red) team. At the time of writing the Lady Hawks are up 1-0 in the top of the second inning. We will keep everyone updated as we progress.
