Everyone knows the close relationship the Homer Hawks and so many quality programs have to the ASA and the support we get from Tom Oneill. As a side note - Tom was our very own Bill Judge's travel coach in baseball many many many years ago as well.
Tom's son has had a couple brain surgeries and he is recovering and as you might expect his medical bills are soaring. Mike Bavcevic, my friend from ChiTown, is hosting a training fundraiser this Sunday in Burr Ridge to raise some funds for Tom Jr's recovery.
If you would like to attend and support - as athletes and coaches - below is the information - hope you can take advantage of the opportunity to learn and support at the same time.
Times like these make our trivial issues seem even less in the big picture. Best of health, peace and happiness to all in and out of our Hawk family!

Our ASA Chicago Metro Commissioner, Tom O’Neil’s son had brain surgery a couple
months ago and is doing well, but, the medical bills are pretty high.
This Sunday, from 3:30pm to 6:00pm at Gower School at 8000 S Madison in Burr
Ridge, I along with the Chi-Town coaches and hopefully some coaches from other
programs will be holding a hitting and defensive clinic for all fastpitch
players in the Chicago area. The cost is only $10.00 and all the money
collected will go to the O’Neill Family to help with the medical bills for
their son. Please spread the word and invite as many fastpitch players as
possible. I request that all Chi-Town coaches come and help and bring their
equipment, tees and hitting nets. There is no better thing to do than to help
someone and the girls will have a great day of practice.
