Dave Betcher and the Homer Hawks would like to welcome Ted Jankowski and his Quest 14 under team to the Hawks for the 2008 season at the 16 under level. The Quest is one of the top 14 under teams for 2007 and the combination with the Hawks will allow the athletes and families coming aboard to team with the current Hawks moving up to form a valuable exposure opportunity for all athletes beginning this fall.
The Hawks will be fielding several teams at both 16 and 18 with a very defined and well planned objective and logistical map to increase even further opportunities for our athletes in their pursuit of college opportunities.
This move does not reduce opportunities for new athletes to become Hawks - but rather increases the value and quality of our efforts to help many young ladies reach their goals. The Hawks at both 16 and 18 have a very well balanced fall exposure schedule in place, and with this merger have additional coaches and staffing to continue our path.
For those of you interested in becoming a part of our program at any age ... please see our "Become a Hawk" tab on the home page to start the process. More news and recruiting opportunities will be announced as the summer season proceeds.
Excitement - Opportunity - Growth - Value - this all equals the Homer Hawk Experience.
We find it fair and necessary to announce this merger at this unusual point in time point because of the plans and opportunities we have already begun to implement. It in no way is intended to affect either programs teams for this summer season. With the quality people we have in both programs, that will not be an issue.
From the Hawk Family - welcome to Ted, Rick, Jim and all of the Crete Quest families and athletes - the road is just beginning together, and the voyage with all our teams and families will continue to be ventured in our way - with class and support for each and every one of our member families and friends in softball!
Yes - the Hawks are growing again and working our tails off as a team for our athletes.
