Homer Hawks to start spring team for high school

If demand warrants - we have decided to help out any high school players not selected or not playing for their school teams by supporting a practice/scrimmage/tourney team this spring.

We will start in April and May indoors - with 2 hour practices and scrimmages - then in May we will take 2 trips to a surrounding state to play in 2 competitive tourneys to keep your skills sharp till your summer teams are back in business.

This is a first for us - so we will review demand and control the number of players accepted - based on first registered. There are costs associated with an endeavor like this - from rentals - to a paid coaches time to tourney fees ... we will have tee shirt tops that will represent the Chicagoland area.

Any and all programs are more than welcome to forward to their players who may be interested - the program will be managed by our 18 under coach Allie Pierce. All players will need to register for insurance purposes and pay an appropriate fee to cover our costs - that will be determined after registrations - which will close March 29th or when we exceed capacity - we can handle up to 24 players with 2 squads.

HIGH SCHOOL SPRING TEAM FOR PLAYERS NOT ON THEIR HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS

The Homer Hawks will be providing an opportunity for players to continue to practice and scrimmage during April and May until their travel teams resume team practices. We will schedule a weeknight and weekend day from the last weekend in March until the weekend of May 20th. We also are planning at least 2 tourneys to a neighboring state in May to stay sharp.
Cost will be $150 – which includes all the practice sessions, rental fees, scrimmage games, tourney fees, tee shirts, coaching. The cost does not include travel, lodging or other expenses related to the out of town trips. We expect to practice for 2 hours per date.
Dates indoors at McCook 4750 Vernon just off I 55 and First Ave
