I just heard the great news that long time Hawk - Kara Harmatys - was named Rookie of the Year for Lewis University this season. What a great honor for a young lady who has played for me since she was 9 years old and has upheld every standard of class and sportsmanship and modesty that any one person could ever imagine!
Kara also told me tonight she is going to play one more year for the Hawks Bob Topel - what a great tribute from Kara to come back during her summer time off from college to help her teammates one more year!
KARA - you are a real treasure and one terrific young lady ... have a great summer - you will always be a HAWK!
