Good start to the summer season for our 18 under teams ... looking for more details to follow - but here's the short version ...
Hawks Ali - go 3-2 in the Gold Division in Vegas against the countries top 18 under teams ... great job for our young ladies stepping up to the 43' Gold competition in Vegas - many colleges impressed with several performances!
Hawks Topel - go all the way to the Championship game before falling 4-2 in Crete - good start for my old squad ... looking for many more top finishes as the year moves on.
Hawks Festin surprises many shorthanded in Elgin, knocking off our hawks Lukas 16's 1-0 to move into the 3rd round of elimination before falling in 3 international tiebreakers on an unusual call. Great performance and many more solid efforts coming from our young 18's.
Hawks Lukas 16 stepped it up at the 18 level and performed very well for the first time out ... going 2nd in pool and then facing the Hawks in round 2 of the winners bracket. This team has been competing up at 18 since the fall and boasts not only a terrific record but a confidence and class unmatched. Many good things coming our way at 16 this year!
Looks like another great season at the older levels picking right up where the younger ones have set the tone early!
