Great to see the 4 Hawk teams working so hard this weekend - first in the rain - then the sun! From wrinkles to sunburn in 24 hours!
The 10's worked hard - had some highs!!!! on Saturday then struggled a little Sunday - but continue to grow and improve and get great support from their families!
The 96's battled to the championship game - a slugfest - coming up short by 1 run - lot's to build on from a great Sunday of softball.
Our hard working 95's played 14's and showed the talent and determination that makes them one of the tops in their age bracket - losing a heart-breaker in the final inning to spare the 14's from having to face off in the championship game! I loved the spirit and determination!
The 14's played very solid all-around ball Sunday. You want hitting - it is contagious - lead by national triples leader Katy L - I never saw 14 under outfielders playing at 200 and seeing the back of their jerseys so many times! WOW!
You asked for defense - which stellar play or double play do you want to talk about?
Pitching - flawless - Katie - Ashley and Kristina were unscathed all weekend - punching out K's half the time and letting our defense do their magic the other half.
Thank you to the Crown Point Bulldogs for allowing us to host the event with them at their wonderful facility! The grounds crew did yeoman's duty Saturday and it paid off with Sundays perfect field conditions!
