Pitcher, Gillespie, Sr. • Went 25-4 with 0.31 ERA, seven no-hitters, one perfect game and 425 strikeouts in 200 innings. Set state career strikeout record (1,501). Her 29 career no-hitters are second in state history. College: St. Louis.
Jill Trzaska
Pitcher, Glenbard South, Sr. • Led Raiders to Class 3A semifinals, going 20-2 with 0.28 ERA (six earned runs allowed) and 247 strikeouts in 152 innings. Gave up two hits per game. College: Cornell.
Allie VadeBoncouer
Catcher, Kankakee, So. • Hit .597 with 14 doubles, 11 triples, 12 home runs, 56 RBIs, 51 runs, 55 hits and was 16-for-16 in stolen bases. Threw out 12 of 15 runners attempting to steal.
Lauren Vitiello
First baseman, South Elgin, Jr. • Led her team—in program's second varsity season—to the sectional finals, batting .568 with 8 doubles, 2 triples, 7 home runs, 39 RBIs and 50 hits.
Taylor Tooley
Second baseman, Plainfield Central, Jr. • Helped Wildcats finish 28-3 by hitting .489 with 13 doubles, 6 triples, 7 home runs, 42 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
Stephanie Kirkpatrick
Shortstop, Plainfield Central, Sr. • Gatorade player-of-the-year finalist in Illinois hit .522 with 10 doubles, 7 triples, 10 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 stolen bases. College: Michigan.
Lindsey Barron
Third baseman, St. Joseph-Ogden, Sr. • Batted .508, scored 44 runs and set a state record with 92 stolen bases in 96 attempts. Her 254 career thefts are also a state record. College: SIU-Edwardsville.
Brooke Andresen
Outfielder, Downers Grove South, Jr. • Batted .514 with 15 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs, 49 RBIs and 55 hits. Center fielder has made an oral commitment to Loyola.
Keri Leach
Outfielder, Stanford Olympia, Jr. • Led her team to second place in Class 2A tournament; hit .484 with 12 doubles, 7 triples, 9 HRs and 46 RBIs.
Liz Watkins
